Nadia gets home from work and tells Khatija how well her beauty business is doing. She is booked up well in advance. Pervaiz is off to the mosque to pray for Lailat Ul-Barah. Nadia tells her parents that the date for her driving test has came through and asks Pervaiz to pray that she passes. Khatija tells Nadia to finish eating so that they can get praying too.
Mushtaq is also preparing to go to the mosque and Zenab comments that this night is particularly special this year what with Rozena getting married. Zenab isn't going to be praying though - she has got a wedding to organise and is leaving nothing to chance.
Rita finds Pradeep in the garden admiring the moon. He invites her to stay and Rita agrees it's very beautiful against tonight's clear sky but then suggests he is a bit of a lunatic. Later, Pradeep is being sentimental about family and Rita jokes about the moon going to his head.
Rozena gets home to find Zenab surrounded by paperwork. She isn't pleased to learn that her mum has planned her engagement party and they are soon bickering again. Zenab points out that they shouldn't argue on the night that Rozena's destiny is being written. Over at the mosque Mushtaq is also telling Pervaiz how important this year is for Rozena.
Back at the Chauhans, Rita gets a call from the police. They need her to do an interpreting job now and will send a car to collect her. Pradeep can't believe she has been called out at this time of night and offers to come with her but Rita says no. This is her job and its how it is going to be....
