Rozena gets up to find her mum, Zenab, already making her presence felt despite the jet lag - she's even made Rozena and Imran parathas for breakfast. Rozena offers to take her around Silver Street but Zenab is much more interested in meeting Sameer. She shocks Rozena by pulling out two engagement rings she bought in Pakistan - she'll hand them over tonight and they can make a special evening of it for Mushtaq. For once Rozena is lost for words...
...but not for long! Rozena calls on Rita to vent her frustration - who does her mum think she is?! Rita can't believe Zenab is back and urges Rozena to tell her exactly what happened. Rozena says her mum's back and back in charge - so she may as well forget about controlling the wedding. She shows Rita the rings Zenab bought them but Rita says they should use the ones they chose themselves and advises her to ease off at work.
Imran, meanwhile, vents his frustration on Jas - it's already like Zenab's never been away! Jas can only vaguely remember her and Imran says he needs time to suss out how she will react to them being together.
Back at the Jilanis, Zenab fusses around getting things ready for the evening. Mushtaq comments on how strange it is with them both back in the house but Zenab refuses to think about the past.
Later, Rozena speaks to Sameer to check on arrangements for the evening and he offers to meet her at work so they can go over together. Rozena teases him - does he need her to hold his hand? That evening they exchange the rings at Mushtaq's bedside. Rozena escapes at the first chance she gets and tells Imran their mum is driving her mad. Imran says Zenab is trying hard but for Rozena it's too little too late...
