It's time for the performance of Heer Ranjha at the Mela. Mushtaq arrives just in time to catch Kamla's last pep talk. She just wants them to go out there and enjoy themselves - this is their chance to shine. Mushtaq takes to the stage and starts narrating the story. Rita and Pradeep watch from the audience and are really impressed by what Arun has done with the music. Rita points out Mansoor to Pradeep saying Roopa has a crush on him and Pradeep is shocked - he's at least 19!
Backstage, Kamla is pinning Roopa into her costume - Khatija has made it far too big. Kamla gets emotional and tells Roopa that for the first time she can see her growing into a woman - and she's even more talented than she thought. Kamla wishes her luck and Roopa takes to the stage. Pradeep immediately notices how bad her costume is and Rita says she thinks Khatija was scared the Chauhans would outdo the Akhtars.
Meanwhile, Imran tries to convince Jas that Mary isn't going to blab on them. Jas is worried that everything's going to come out in the worst possible way but Imran thinks they're safe - Mary understands. Jas notices how quiet it is and they realise the play must have started. They hurry over to the tent and push their way into the back of the audience. Jas spots Mary looking round but Imran thinks she's just being paranoid...
The drama on stage reaches its climax as Heer eats the poisoned ladoo and Jas and Imran can't believe how talented Roopa is. Jai takes a call on his mobile and the rest of the audience tell him to be quiet. As he walks towards the exit he tells the caller his money problems are over - the old girl is finally coming through...
