Kuljit and Sway arrive at Jodie's bright and early to wish her Happy Birthday. They're planning a surprise for her and they'll be back at 7pm sharp...
At the Centre, Kamla is putting the cast of Heer Ranjha through their paces. Roopa and Mansoor chat while they wait and Mansoor tells her his family don't know that he acts. He's studying economics at uni just to keep them happy. He tells Roopa he thinks she's really talented then goes outside for a cigarette. Roopa follows him a few minutes later and overhears him talking on the phone. Mansoor says that Roopa will be a real looker...when she loses her puppy fat. Afterwards, Jas catches Roopa being sick in the toilets. Roopa insists she's fine and asks Jas not to tell their mum.
Mani visits Jodie to say Happy Birthday - it's the first time he's ever been able to. He gives her some pearls that belonged to his mother and asks if he can cook her a birthday meal. Jodie feels guilty that she already has plans.
Later, Kuls, Sway and Rachel arrive at Jodie's with her present: a can of petrol - they're taking the boat for a ride! Kuljit and Rachel go to start the engine and Jodie asks Sway how he's feeling about Nadia. Sway is still hurting - after all, it just came down to the colour of his skin.
As they sail down the canal, Kuls chats to Jodie and Rachel asks Sway if there was ever anything between them. Sway assures her they've never been an item. When they decide to turn back later on Kuls throws the lock keys to Jodie but they fall in the water. After a moment of horror they throw Kuljit in after the keys...just for old times sake!
