Mushtaq is on his way to the Parkside Centre when he spots Mani ahead of him. He struggles to catch up and tells Mani he's been dragged into narrating Heer Ranjha by Kamla. Mani confides that it's Jodie's birthday later in the week and he wants to give her a surprise. Mushtaq warns him she may have her own plans and Mani doesn't want to seem overbearing. Mushtaq proudly tells him Rozena's agreed to marry Sameer.
Meanwhile, Arun tells Rita there's no way he's playing Ranjha - he'd never live it down. Jas says it'll be good practice in case he ever gets a girlfriend and Arun asks her why she's still hanging around - she's got her student house now. Rita and Jas enjoy watching him squirm and even Uncle Jai doesn't stick up for him.
Jai talks to Kamla about the money she got from selling her land in India - he could really make it work for her. Kamla suggests buying Mary's shop or the pub...maybe Jai could run one of them for her? Jai is horrified but covers his shock!
Upstairs, Roopa confesses to Jas that she's dreading finding out who's playing Ranjha. It's great she got to be Heer but what if Arun really is Ranjha and she has to kiss her brother? Jas says it'll never happen - one of them would have to step down. Roopa looks distraught and Jas promises to see what she can do... As they leave for rehearsals a motorbike pulls up outside. Jas introduces the rider as Mansoor, a student from her Uni. Mansoor's going to play Ranjha - the whole Arun thing was a wind up!
At rehearsals Sameer announces that the sponsorship crisis has been averted and there will be a mystery Bollywood star at the Mela organised by Jas. As for exactly who it is Sameer's lips are sealed...
