Kamla and Mary are going through boxes of material from last year's mela. Kamla thinks some of it would make perfect props and costumes for a drama. Mary points out that Mrs Virk always directs the plays but Kamla announces the mela is going to be a bit different this year. Mrs Virk might not find it to her liking!
Mary suggests she could help out with making costumes. It would help her to pass time until Sean gets out. Kamla thinks Mary needs a hubby, not a hobby and suggests placing an advert in the paper but Mary doesn't think so. She would have to advertise for a man with a good sense of humour - and failing eyesight!
Over at the apartment block, Pervaiz is writing a birthday card for Khatija when Oliver turns up and tries to grab it. Oliver asks why it is written in 'mumbo jumbo' and is told its Urdu. He thinks Pervaiz is a bit of a dark horse - always hiding something isn't he....
Later Kamla gets home and tells the family about her plans. Rita says Pradeep has been doing his thing for the community too - he is going to save the allotments. Krishan says they have to do this for Birdyman - where will he live if the land gets bulldozed? Kamla says they won't let that happen.
Elsewhere Pervaiz has had enough of Oliver and threatens to report him for intimidation not to mention the rest. Oliver doesn't think Pervaiz wants to do that. There is the small matter of the CCTV tape going missing the night of Jaggy's accident. Does Pervaiz really want the police to know about that?
