Kuljit is listening to one of Mani's albums whilst he sets up the tables at Saffron Ray's. Mani joins him and says he's been thinking about Kuljit's dad. He offers to clear his junk from the flat upstairs so that when Amrit visits he has somewhere to stay. In fact it's mostly just mementoes from before he came to Silver Street so why don't they sort it out now?
Meanwhile, Jodie visits Simran. She's pleased to see the flat is looking more homely - she wasn't even sure that Simran would still be there. Simran says she's determined to make a go of it on her own - whatever people say.
As they begin sorting through the boxes above the restaurant, Mani tell Kuls how he used to take in all kinds of waifs and strays when he was in charge at the Parkside Centre - that's until one of them smashed up the flat! Mani wonders if you can ever do enough...like with Sean, asks Kuljit?
In the Youth Offenders' Institute, Sean bumps into Yusef for the first time since his beating. He tries to say sorry for not sticking up for him but Yusef isn't prepared to listen - Sean just walked away and let it happen like all the rest. Sean finds him praying in his room later on and apologises again. He tries to persuade Yusef to leave his room to show everyone he's not going to hide.
Jodie calls on Kuljit and Sway and finds them shifting Mani's old stuff. She quickly gets dragged in to helping and Kuljit tries to persuade her to join them at Mani's. Jodie's reluctant to spend another night listening to Mani talk about his wild times in the '60s - until they come across a picture of her mother...
