Jaggy takes the plunge and tells Simran he's leaving - he's met someone else. Simran is stunned and when Jaggy tells her things aren't working she won't listen - surely they can talk things through? Jaggy is adamant it's for the best and tries to leave but Simran stops him - it was supposed to be their special night!
Downstairs on reception, Pervaiz gets a call about fighting in Simran and Jaggy's flat. He calls their number but the phone rings out unanswered in the apartment as Simran tries to reason with Jaggy -she knows he's seen other women before and they've always got over it. Jaggy vows it's different this time. Their relationship is sapping his energy and he can't afford it now he's back in the Premiership. Simran accuses him of putting a game before her and Jaggy says that's exactly it - he needs a woman who can see that football is his passion.
Meanwhile, Pervaiz gets another call from Jaggy's neighbours and agrees to check everything's OK in the flat.
Simran tells Jaggy she can change but Jaggy replies that he can't be suffocated by her anymore. He admits he's actually been seeing someone else for months and that's why he's so sure.
Simran gets angry and follows Jaggy when he tries to walk off, oblivious to Pervaiz's knocks on the door. She throws the dinner plates across the room and then again goes from anger to tears. Jaggy lets slip that it's Tina he's been seeing and Simran is amazed: she's been talking to her like a friend! She walks into the kitchen to carry on cooking like nothing has happened but when Jaggy repeats that he's leaving she flies at him and plunges a knife into his leg. Jaggy drops to the floor in pain...what has she done?!
