The opening of the Jilani-Kavanagh marketing suite is in full swing. Rozena takes Krishan to the front to cut the ribbon and Brian introduces the celebrity guest who is going to help him: John Craven. Rita is completely star stuck! Imran comes in from outside to tell Rozena their mum has just called. She sounded perfectly fine and was just putting on illness to get their dad across to Pakistan! Then Imran makes a quick exit when Rozena tries to introduce him to an important businessman and goes to talk to Jodie instead.
Brian and Rozena see the last of the visitors out and then Brian gets ready to go - he needs a drink! Rozena won't let him go anywhere though: they need to get working on their allotment bid before Mushtaq returns.
Meanwhile, Imran and Jodie chat outside. Jodie tells him about her alternative upbringing - her mum was a real activist and one of the Greenham Common women in the '80s. Imran is worried that Mani is trying to do too much too soon so Jodie offers to help him with his move back home.
Jaggy gets back to his apartment block and passes Pervaiz on the desk. Pervaiz tells him he's in for a real feast - Simran came home earlier with lots of fancy food. Jaggy's a very lucky man, says Pervaiz, to be married to someone so thoughtful. All Jaggy says is "she's not my wife" ...
Simran runs out of the kitchen as soon as Jaggy gets in. She pours him some wine and he notices her new dress - are they supposed to be going out? Simran prattles on about everything she's cooked for him but Jaggy stops her. He's got something to tell her and it can't wait. It's serious...
