Mary insists on taking Sean to see the solicitor. Sean doesn't see the point in going again but Mary reminds him that his case is tomorrow. Later Mary produces a list of things that might go in Sean's favour but the solicitor reminds her that the judge will have heard all this before. All they can do is hope for a shorter custodial sentence on the day.
Mushtaq is gushing to Mani about how he would do anything for their friendship but Mani informs him he actually wants to talk about helping Sean. Mushtaq reminds Mani that Sean almost killed him. Mani agrees but Sean did admit it in the end. Mani can't do anything because he is involved in the case so he wants Mushtaq to be character witness. Mushtaq isn't happy but is reminded that he said he would do anything for Mani besides it's a good thing to give people a second chance isn't it?
The doctors announce they are finally adjusting Amrit's treatment and Kuljit is reminded that his dad has a better chance if they all work together. However, this doesn't mean there was a case of misdiagnosis. They are merely changing and monitoring the treatment until they know more about his condition. Kuljit later asks Rachel if they can talk more- perhaps over a drink. He still needs convincing that things are about to get better.
Mary reckons it's great that the solicitor is using the stuff she suggested about Sean's background, and difficult childhood but Sean doesn't think so. Doesn't Mary know things are bad enough already without telling the world all about his miserable life too.....
