Brian and Mushtaq discuss Sean's case as they walk around their development site. Mushtaq can't believe he left Mani for dead but Brian insists he deserves some credit for confessing. Councillor Malik bumps into them and reveals she's the new local parliamentary candidate. Mushtaq and Brian immediately see an opportunity for some power and influence and offer to take the Councillor - Shahin - to the cafe for coffee.
Mary's surprised when Sean arrives home from college at lunch. She tries to get him to talk but he just wants to be on his own. After a lot of persuading he agrees to sit down for lunch and Mary says she's proud of him for taking responsibility. She and Brian are behind him 100%. Sean tells her he confessed to Mani ages ago but Mani never said anything to anyone - he covered for him even after everything he'd done.
Back at the cafe, Brian teases Mushtaq about Shahin once she has gone. Mushtaq agrees she's a very attractive woman but thinks Brian's probably going too far in proposing marriage already! But talking of marriage, Mushtaq is confident that Rozena's is just around the corner. Brian on the other hand doesn't think it is for a minute...
Jodie goes to the Golden Crown to talk to Sean. She lays into him and calls him scum - he left an old man to die in the road and thought of no-one but himself when he drove away. Mary hears the commotion and rushes in. She sticks up for Sean and orders Jodie to go - she's said enough. Jodie refuses to leave so Mary tells her a few home truths - she hasn't been straight and honest with Mani either, has she? What has Jodie ever done to make Mani's life easier?!
