It's the day of Sean's appearance at the Magistrate's Court and Mushtaq calls Mani to check he's OK. It's the first time they've spoken since their argument and the conversation is awkward. Mushtaq offers Mani a lift to the court but Jodie is already taking him. Mani's a bit embarrassed to admit this but Mushtaq is pleased to hear they're in touch. He tells Mani to call if he needs anything else.
Tension is high at the Brady's as they get ready for court. Zak rushes up as they're leaving and tells Sean he wants to go with him. Sean insists he's fine on his own but Mary is grateful - they'd love him to come along.
Meanwhile, Pradeep and Rita catch Jas on her way out - they need to have a chat about her moving out. Jas immediately starts to justify herself and reels off as many reasons as she can for her decision...but it turns out that Rita and Pradeep want to support her. They're worried she'll struggle for money and don't want her feeling pressured to move but they agree she should start living her own life.
Zak waits with Sean outside the court room. Sean admits he's worried about seeing Mani again and scared of being locked up - he'll never cope inside. Zak tells him he's got to stop working himself into a state. In court, Sean pleads guilty to the charges. The case is adjourned for two weeks to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared and Sean is released on bail. Outside once again, Mary is distraught when she bumps into Mani...meanwhile Sean gets a call from A.D: he'd better cover his tracks or else...
