It's Vaisakhi, the Sikh New Year, and a procession is passing along Silver Street to the Gurdwara. Kuljit has brought his dad, Amrit, to visit the flat above Saffron Ray's and they watch the procession from the window. Amrit is excited and knows exactly what's going on. Kuls gets worried when he starts to cry but Amrit says he's just happy.
Jodie braves the crowd outside to visit Mani at the restaurant. She feels awkward at first but Mani is obviously delighted to see her. She tells him she's heard about Sean and Mani admits he's known the truth for some time. He didn't want Sean to get into trouble so he kept quiet and tried to frame A.D. instead.
Kuljit starts preparing a meal for his dad but things don't go well. He burns the curry and sets a pan on fire and he's angry with himself for messing everything up. Sway goes on a rescue mission to the restaurant where Jodie and Mani are still discussing Sean. He tells them the food's a disaster and Mani encourages him to take something from the kitchen. In fact Pradeep has already set some food aside - he obviously didn't have any faith in Kuljit's cooking!
Sway takes the food back upstairs where Amrit and Kuljit are watching an old movie. Amrit hums along with the music which brings back memories for him. Amrit insists he's not hungry but looks longingly when Kuls and Sway start to eat. Sway suggests that Kuljit tries feeding him and though he's reluctant to do it at first it seems to work. Amrit is soon tucking in...
