After the unexploded bomb scare, Jas goes to quiz Mushtaq and Brian about the safety of the canalside development for her university journalism course. She presses them on the safety issues - and she's pretty successful in rattling Brian!
At the pub, the St Patrick's Day celebrations are in full swing. Mary's surprised when Sean comes down to the bar but is pleased to see him more cheerful. Brian's in a better mood after his grilling too. Mary confesses to him she feels guilty for arguing with Jodie...and that she faked Sean's birthday card from Siobhan. Brian advises her to have a drink and let people fix their own problems.
Zak and Arun arrive at the pub. Sean seems really wired and Zak realises he's on drugs again. Zak has a go at him but Sean insists he needs the drugs - Zak doesn't know what it's like to have the police on his back all the time. Arun tells Zak to leave it - Sean's just having a good time - but Zak thinks it's all an act.
Rozena goes to the site office where Mushtaq is holed up after the press conference. She tells him about the allotment site becoming available but Mushtaq says he's already heard about it and decided against getting involved - it would be PR suicide. Rozena accuses him of going soft but Mushtaq warns her to leave well alone. He's put everything on the line for this development and has to make it work - if it doesn't, he's ruined. He warns Rozena not to jeopardise everything he's created by going it alone on the allotments - he'd never forgive her...
