Pradeep wants to finish the conversation Jas started about him being disappointed his first-born was a girl. He tells her this couldn't be further from the truth. Jas wants to know exactly what all the rows were about then.
Jai finds Rita sitting in the park and she tells him to leave her alone but Jai wants to sort things out. Rita reckons the only way to do that is for Jai to stay away from her family. Jai points out he has served time for what he did, why can't Rita forgive him too? Rita says if it wasn't for Jai their father would still be alive. She will never forgive him for that.
Pradeep tells Jas how Jai going off the rails resulted in Rita being married off at a young age but his bad reputation meant Rita had to marry down a caste. The rows were because Rita and Pradeep needed time to learn to live together. Jas is curious - exactly what did Jai do?
Jai is furious at Rita calling him a murderer but she is adamant that his actions killed dad and that he needs to face up to the past. Rita reminds him of the time he stole their cousin's wedding jewellery and did a runner when the police tried to arrest him.
Meanwhile Pradeep is also telling Jas about Jai being a thief and that he was sent to a Young Offenders unit but didn't learn his lessons - there was something much worse that he did later. Jas demands to know but Pradeep has told her too much already and says she will have to ask Rita...
