Jas gets up to find Uncle Jai in the kitchen. He tries to make conversation but Jas isn't very communicative - that is until her phone rings. She answers it and sounds excited then dashes out leaving Jai bemused.
Meanwhile, at Imran's, Mani isn't very communicative either. Imran's worried about leaving him at home all day. He thinks Kuljit and Sway may have said something to upset him and Mani apologises for being so miserable. Imran wants him to talk but Mani won't commit himself. Imran has to leave for work and bumps into Sean on the doorstep. Sean's desperate to know what Mani plans to tell the police; the not knowing is driving him mad. Mani can't believe his cheek - it's pointless trying to help people like him - he's worthless.
Jas calls Imran to tell him she's been to see a student house - it was disgusting! She's getting desperate for somewhere to move to and Imran suggests she drop into the Centre - he's got some Housing Association leaflets somewhere.
Sway wants to help Kuljit with his dad's case and calls his mum to see if she can remember anything about him. His mum says Kuljit was her main concern when he was fostered and she can't remember much about his dad.
Later on, Jas and Imran meet at the Centre. Imran thinks if Jas wants to move out she may have to get a job. It's a shame he can't employ her - at least they could see each other then! They kiss just as Jai barges into the office. Jas and Imran jump apart and try to explain themselves, but has Jai noticed that something's going on...?
