Jai decorates the living room for the forthcoming Vasant Panchami festival but Pradeep thinks he should have checked with Rita first. To make matters worse Kamla informs Pradeep that Jai is also taking the kids to the temple on Sunday.
Mushtaq tries talking to Jodie but other customers start whispering about his fallout with Mani. Jodie says this isn't a good time and Mushtaq leaves. He later goes to Jodie's home and admits he is hurt by the gossiping but Jodie has no sympathy - thanks to Mushtaq's meddling, Jodie and Mani are more distant than ever. Mushtaq says he's sorry - bit late for that says Jodie.......
Rozena takes a call from the owners of the allotment site. They are following up on an old enquiry by Brian. The lease is running out and they now want to sell the land. Are Jilani & Kavanagh still interested? Rozena asks them to send all the documents so it can be checked out - addressed to her.
An angry Rita makes her way to the kitchen where Kamla is cooking for the festival. It's bad enough Jai keeps trying to get one up on Pradeep but now he is taking over the house too and what about paying towards his upkeep? Kamla defends her son and says she will take him out this evening - give Rita time to develop some manners!
Kamla later tells Jai what Rita had to say but also lets him into a secret - she is selling her house in India and then she can start contributing to the costs at home. Jai tells Kamla she is doing the right thing and not to worry - she can rely on him.....
