Zak comes down for breakfast and Pervaiz takes the opportunity to talk to him about his choice of work. He wishes Zak was going to college instead of a building site but Zak says he is doing this for the family and is not going back.
Rita shows Pradeep a "damage limitation" document she has drawn up for Roopa's birthday party and jokes about Roopa getting her hands on Pradeep's cooking sherry. They mimic Roopa's reaction to having her bash at the leisure centre and fall about laughing. How long has it been since they laughed this much? Rita reckons things have been alright lately and Pradeep agrees - they are one big happy family at the moment.
Pervaiz seems to accept Zak's decision about college but then suggests Zak work for Mani again; it's safer than a building site. He suggests Zak go and talk to Mani but he refuses - everyone knows about Mushtaq and Mani falling out and Zak doesn't want Mani to think he is jumping on the gossip bandwagon too.
Jas pops to the salon and Nadia thinks she looks awful. Jas reckons she is still in shock about Imran losing it with Adam and when Imran rings her phone she doesn't answer. She has seen a side to Imran that really scares her - what if he is some sort of psycho?
Rita is wondering what Roopa is wearing to her party. Pradeep says it is a secret but she persuades him to help her look for it. They find Roopa's outfit in a cupboard and are left stunned by the discovery...
