Despite initial disruption, Imran holds a meeting to discuss budget cuts and ideas for fundraising at the Leisure Centre but he says they need to be careful - if they raise too much money they will be seen as self-sufficient and that could mean further cuts. Kamla points out they need to take action, not just have meetings.
Mushtaq wants to know why Rozena hasn't told him about Sameer. At first Rozena denies it but Mushtaq tells her Brian told him everything. Mushtaq starts making plans only to be told by Rozena to stop organising her life - and could he tell Brian to keep his nose out of her business too. Mushtaq gets angry and storms out.
At the meeting, Imran's getting sick of people going off into private conversations - no-one seems to be listening to him! Jas takes him aside to try to calm him down. She can't understand why he's so upset - there are some good ideas coming forward. Imran's frustrated because he thinks he's turned into a "yes" man for the council. Well he's had enough: their council tax should pay for the Centre. He won't cancel the fundraising open day completely but it'll be for the Tsunami appeal instead.
Later, on, when everyone has left, Imran and Jas clear up. Jas is impressed by his radical streak - was he a protesting student in his "youth"? Imran admits that he was - but lately he's become a bit "safe". He won't expand on his past any more and Jas doesn't force him, but she does wonder why he's always so reluctant to talk.
Mushtaq tells Mani about the incident with Rozena and Mani says that it's hard for daughters to tell their fathers certain things. Without thinking Mushtaq responds with "what do you....." and a hurt Mani finishes the sentence for him - what does he know about daughters? Isn't that what Mushtaq was about to say?
