Zak gets up and is surprised to find Nadia already in the kitchen. She breaks the news to him about losing their land in Mirpur. She describes how their Uncle bribed the police and the judge so there was nothing their father could do about it. Zak is outraged but Nadia warns him it's hit their dad hard - Zak must stay calm in front of him. It's time they did something themselves - she wants to take over the salon and has already done a business plan. It's all too much for Zak though - he needs some time on his own.
Uncle Rajan calls Rita from Leicester. He apologises for upsetting her the other day by mentioning Jai and says she needn't worry now - Jai's gone. Rita gets annoyed that he's still talking about Jai and when Pradeep enters he realises immediately who she's talking about - who else could get her so rattled? He isn't pleased when Rita admits she went looking for Jai in Leicester - how can they make a fresh start if she keeps raking up the past?
Later, Rita bumps into Sean in the park. Sean is still feeling down and wants someone to talk to. He spots Zak and asks why he's been ignoring his calls. Zak tells him he's had bad news from home and isn't in the mood to hang out. Sean tries calling Arun instead but Arun's got his hands full at home. Kamla's roped them into helping with Mani's welcome home do and Krishan is running wild! Arun says they're going to the pub so why not meet there, but Sean doesn't want to go home. Arun rings off and Sean throws his mobile in frustration...
