Brian arrives at the pub with presents for Sean on his birthday. He can't believe it's midday and Sean isn't even up! Sean strolls in yawning and sees all the presents - he's shocked that they've bought so much stuff and Brian gets annoyed with him for being ungrateful. Sean walks out angrily - he's going to have breakfast and if they want to watch him open them they can wait!
Meanwhile, Imran and Jas finally manage to steal some time together - albeit only an hour while Rozena's in town. It's like everyone's conspiring against them! They swap presents. Jas gives Imran some jokey things - flashing antlers, a laughing Santa - and feels bad when he gives her a beautiful bracelet. Imran reassures her he doesn't need expensive presents to know she cares.
Jodie visits Mani in hospital again. She comments on all the cards from people on Silver Street and asks why he has no "real" family. Mani tells her he once had real love in his life but didn't know how to hold onto it and Jodie says he must feel like he's missed out. When Mani says no Jodie gets annoyed and has to check herself because Mani can see he's upset her.
Back at the Golden Crown, Sean has opened his presents but he still isn't particularly happy - he says he doesn't deserve them. Mary tries to break the tension by giving Sean some cards that came in the post. One of them is from Siobhan and Sean tears it up in anger - does his mum really think one card can make up for everything? She doesn't even bother to visit! She obviously thinks I'm not worth it, says Sean, walking out...
