Kamla discovers things have changed since she went to India. She is getting the kids ready for school and is informed by Roopa that they don't have cooked breakfasts anymore. Rita comes down to find Kamla has given the kids breakfast and packed their lunches. This annoys her and Kamla's 'what did you do without me' comment doesn't help matters.
Jaggy claims he missed Simran terribly went she went home for Diwali. She thinks he went to his parents and enquires after the family but Jaggy quickly changes the subject - why don't they go round to the cafe for breakfast?
Rita explains to Kamla that everybody mucks in now. They don't need Kamla to run around after them anymore. Rita is looking for her keys and Kamla smugly tells her where they are. This gives Kamla more proof that they don't cope very well without her.
Nadia is setting up the salon for the day when Roopa turns up asking if she can have Jas's old job. Nadia agrees to talk to Simran and hurries her out of the shop; shouldn't she be at school or something?
Nadia asks if Simran has given any more thought to them buying the salon together. Simran says she can't see Jaggy going for it; he wants to leave as soon as his club want him back. Nadia reckons she may buy it on her own in that case and has already done some research into her options. Simran just can't risk it - football will always be Jaggy's first love...
