Kamla calls home from India but the Chauhan house is empty. She wonders where they all are and says she's missing them a lot - she always loved Diwali in Silver Street.
Meanwhile, the Chauhans are in Leicester. Pradeep calls the hospital to check on Mani's progress and then admits to Rita he feels guilty for arguing with Mani at the restaurant over the last few weeks. He and Rita decide it's time for a fresh start - life's too short for arguing and they should put family first.
Sway phones his sister - she's a nurse and he wants her advice. He tells her about Kuljit's dad and she says that in the past, patients with mental illness were often misdiagnosed and put on medication that wasn't right for them. Sway rushes to Jodie's to see what she thinks of it all. She agrees with him that he should tell Kuls the news - even if there's only a slight chance his dad has been misdiagnosed, it's a chance nevertheless.
Jas calls on Nadia at the salon. Nadia is still running the place on her own because Simran is with her family in Southall. Nadia thinks something is up between Jaggy and Simran - why else would she stay away from him so long?
Back in Leicester, Rita talks to her Uncle Rajan. He asks her if she's seen Jai over Diwali and Rita gets defensive, expecting her uncle to start criticising him. Uncle Rajan says he hasn't got a problem with Jai - he helped him out when he hurt his back just a few days ago. Rita can't believe it - is Jai in Leicester?!
