Rita and Pradeep discuss going to Leicester for Diwali but he's worried about leaving Saffron Ray's. He asks Kuls and Sway to cover for him but unknown to Pradeep the boys have already discussed it. They want Pradeep out of their hair and tell him Mani would want him to go.
Mushtaq wants to know why Mani can't be moved to a private ward but the nurse points out he is too fragile. He would benefit more from people being around him right now and suggests Mushtaq talking to him might help him regain consciousness.
Kuls goes to see Jodie but she's on her way to the hospital. She looks tired and is snappy. Kuls asks what's really getting to her and she tells him she blames herself for the accident.
Mani needs an operation within the next 24 hours. It's risky but there is no choice - either that or the risk of brain damage. Imran tells Mushtaq he is popping out and to behave while he is away. Mushtaq tries talking to Mani to see if it helps him wake up.
Jodie arrives and tells Mushtaq she blames herself. A livid Mushtaq tells it will be her fault if Mani dies and she runs out crying just as Imran returns. Imran tells Mushtaq that Mani told Jodie to ring him. It's bad enough she feels guilty for something that wasn't her fault and now Mushtaq's made her feel ten times worse - nice one dad...
