Mani tells Pradeep he thinks his friendship with Mushtaq is suffering due to Mushtaq's business deals. He tries calling Mushtaq for a chat and once again he is too busy to talk. When Mushtaq turns up later things get worse. Mani accuses Mushtaq of being selfish and says their friendship obviously means nothing to him.
Arun can't believe his family have only given him homemade birthday cards and no present. Rita tells Arun he is ungrateful - he knows money is tight. She suggests he take Krishan to the park. Arun misunderstands thinking there is a present for him outside but when he opens the door there is nothing there.
Pradeep bumps into Sean in the park and invites him to Arun's party. They see Krishan and Arun playing football. Arun tells Sean how disappointed he is and Sean suggests they get together with Zak later on and get drunk - Arun reckons it's the best offer he's had all day.
Later, at home, Arun gets some boxing gloves from the family and is really pleased. They have fun and reminisce but Rita notices that Arun still doesn't look happy. He tells her it's because he wanted Uncle Jai to be there. Rita's actually glad he isn't but her sarcasm is lost on Arun who suggests they invite Jai for Diwali.
In the kitchen Rita tells Pradeep how annoyed she is with Jai making false promises to the kids. They need to know he isn't an amazing superman character - it's time they knew the truth...
