Krishan is excited about a new project he's been given at school - to write an in depth diary about his family. He asks Jas her advice about being a journalist, and later Arun lends him a tape recorder so he can record all his interviews too. Krishan is thrilled and starts recording his audio diary straight away!
Kuljit and Sway are playing table football and talking about their next big venture - they're producing a charity song for United. Sway notices a nasty bruise on Kuljit's arm but Kuljit is cagey and doesn't want to talk about it.
Meanwhile, Jas goes to meet Imran at the Centre. She moans about how she isn't appreciated at the newspaper office - the journalists there are happy to steal her story ideas but only trust her to make cups of tea. She's hoping for a sympathetic ear, but Imran just tells her she has to work her way up like everyone else and Jas storms off, annoyed! She goes to Jodie's café where she sees Kuljit, who, like Imran, tells her everyone has to start at the bottom - including him.
On his way to work, Sway bumps into Nadia, who talks about her fears of losing their land in Pakistan . Sway invites her to the club night he and Kuljit are organising in town and she accepts. Sway is chuffed and a bit lost for words!
Back at the Chauhans, Krishan records Arun talking on the phone about racing cars. The he records a note to himself - Arun wouldn't want his parents to hear his tape - it could be a good money-spinner!
