The karaoke night is in full swing with Brian hosting. Rozena has turned up to discuss discrepancies in the accounts with him. Brian says this is a bad time to talk but changes his mind when Rozena threatens to continue the conversation when Mushtaq gets back. He tells her he is in trouble - if he doesn't get some collateral soon he will have to take drastic action and it will effect Mary too.
Kuljit tries talking to Mani about sampling his music again but Mani has had enough of empty promises. He gives Kuljit some firm advice - it isn't good to raise hopes only to dash them again - it's a long way to fall.
Rita tells Pradeep she is going back to college after all because she needs to live for herself for once. He takes this as another dig and reminds Rita that he is working all hours to pay for her 'living for me'. He says he's going to get another drink, but perhaps he should put the money straight into her bank account instead?
Kuljit isn't his usual self and Jodie suggests they sing a song together; it might take his mind off things. She notices a bruise on his arm - how did he get it?
Meanwhile Rozena changes her tune and comes up with a plan that will rescue Brian and save the pub. Brian can't believe his luck, but Rozena isn't doing it out of the goodness of her heart - it comes at a price!
