Pradeep talks to Rita about how hard it is juggling two jobs at once. Things aren't improved when Rita tells him she is getting cold feet about the interpreting course - he wants to know why he is working all hours to support her so she can just throw it back in his face.
It's karaoke night at the Golden Crown. Sean asks Rita to tell him more about his mum but they are interrupted by Mary. Once Sean is out of earshot Mary tells Rita not to tell him anything - she wants to protect him from knowing the full story.
Jodie talks to Mani about the car racing at the back of the canal - she is concerned about it being illegal. Mani suggests they talk about it at the pub later and persuades her to come along - if only to watch Kuls and Sway perform!
Roopa's song goes down well and she fancies herself as a budding pop star but Jasmine tells her to be realistic - it's only a pub Karaoke night. Roopa spots Imran and Pradeep ends up calling him over. Imran and Jas both seem a little nervous about this and it gets worse when Rita insists they sing a duet together.
Mary shares a nostalgic moment with Mani and tells him it is Siobhan's birthday today but she doesn't even know where she is. Sean overhears the conversation and finally finds out more about his mum, but it isn't quite what he wanted to hear...
