Jaggy is at home watching videos of old Maradona matches. He tells Simran he's worried he's on the same downward spiral - the local paper has printed an article about his "infamous attitude problem" and it's really got him down. Simran drags him out for a walk to try and cheer him up.
At the Chauhans, Pradeep is leaving for work. Krishan pesters him about Rita's job - will Pradeep have to work more now and who will watch him play footy? Pradeep tells him not to worry and leaves him playing in the park.
Councillor Malik calls into Saffron Ray's to see Mani about the black-spot on Silver Street and asks him about the mela too. Pradeep rushes in late and Mani asks him if he's noticed anything different - he's bought some new pictures for the dining room. Pradeep's annoyed as Mani has time to do that but won't taste his new dishes. Then the oven starts playing up - why can't Mani spend money on important things like the kitchen, asks Pradeep? It's the food that attracts customers!
Meanwhile, Krishan has a near miss with a car when he runs into the road, thinking he's seen Birdyman. Simran sees it happen and rushes over to Krishan. She makes Jaggy play football with him to take his mind off it - and it takes Jaggy's mind off his problems too.
Later, Pradeep visits Chunky's Chaat House. Chunky is pleased to see the curry champion in his place and wants to cook for him, but Pradeep has other ideas - he wants a job!
