It's breakfast time at the Chauhan's and Rita is getting stressed - the house is such a mess and Pradeep doesn't help when he accidentally drops a plate on the floor. Jas is leaving for her interview at the newspaper and Rita reminds her that she wants her to open her 'A' level results at home. Jas isn't pleased she's got to wait a day longer for them but goes along with her mum. When Jas has gone, Rita admits to Pradeep she's jealous of her, and then talks about the interpreting course again.
At the Akhtars, Pervaiz makes an appointment to see a solicitor about their land problems. Nadia's pleased he's taking some action but Zak still thinks he's being too slow. Pervaiz starts coughing and Nadia tells Zak to get out - he's upsetting their dad. Zak sees Jas waiting for the bus and tells her he's thinking of racing cars to make money. She says she could write about it if she gets the job at the paper.
At the football ground, Jaggy is training with the team. He makes snide comments about Trevor's coaching and says it's all a waste of time. Trevor takes him to one side and says he'll be on the bench again if he carries on like that - the team needs to get fit!
Back at the Chauhan's, Rita is still upset about losing her job. She tells Pradeep she's not going to take it lying down - she's going to see Rozena for legal advice - there must be something she can do!
