Kuljit stumbles out of bed bleary-eyed to find Sway already up and painting their flat. He's listening to one of Mani's old tracks and they're both impressed. Later on they pester him to play some of his old tunes at the mela, and although Mani's flattered he isn't in the best of moods. Vegas's comments about his past mistakes are still playing on his mind, and when he bumps into Jodie by the canal, Mani says he won't stop as he's not very good company at the moment.
Meanwhile, at the café, Rozena is going through some of Mushtaq's old development plans. She asks Jodie her opinion of Brian and Jodie says she doesn't trust him - call it women's intuition if you like, but she just doesn't feel comfortable around him. As they're chatting, Sameer phones Rozena. Rozena plays it cool when he asks her out, but after she's rung off she tells Jodie he's really lovely. So why is she giving him the brush off, Jodie asks? Shouldn't she be saying yes? Rozena takes the plunge and calls him back to arrange a date that evening.
Kuljit and Sway want to use the young DJ competition at the mela as a way of finding new talent they can promote, and they go to the Centre to sign people up. The response is more than they'd expected, and things start to get out of hand. Sway can't cope and shouts for Kuls to help - but Kuls has disappeared…again!
