Mushtaq is worried about the public meeting that’s being held to discuss the new property development. Brian tells him it’ll be a walk in the park, but Mushtaq reckons people will cause trouble just for the fun of it. It doesn’t help that when they meet again later at Chunky’s Chaat House, Chunky makes it very clear he isn’t pleased with Mushtaq – and as Brian says, Mushtaq’s supposed to be his man on the inside, smoothing things over!
At the Chauhan’s, Rita’s patience is wearing thin. Krishan won’t stop talking about Ba, and she’s still worried about Arun. She’s worried he’ll turn out like her brother, Jai, and thinks Pradeep is being naïve when he says that Arun’s behaviour is nothing unusual - Pradeep seems more interested in the tennis than his own family!
When Jas gets back the family forum finally gets underway – although still without Arun, who refuses to take part. No-one really seems interested except Krishan, and the meeting soon descends into chaos, with Krishan and Roopa fighting and screaming. In despair, Rita tells everyone she and Pradeep think Jas should have the room, but Jas is far from happy. As far as she’s concerned the extra space is too little too late. The exams are almost over and she already knows she’s failed. She doesn’t want the room!
