What's it all about?
Jodie Howard has never been one to follow the mainstream, so it's no surprise that she ignored this country's obsession with the property ladder and decided to live on a narrow boat instead.
Living on a boat gave Jodie the best of both worlds - it was moored close to her business (The Pumpworks Café) but she could move off at a moment's notice whenever she needed a break.
Since Jodie moved in with Mani the narrow boat has become a home for all kinds of waifs and strays like Sway, Nadia, Sean, Jas and even Kamla!

Classic moments:
- A drunken Kuljit falling off the barge into the canal during Jodie's first month in Silver Street. - Jodie, Sway and Rachel throwing Kuljit into the water when he lost the key to the canal lock. - Kamla sleeping on the barge because she had nowhere left to go after Jai stole all her money.
Did you know?
Jodie and Sway spent the night together on the barge on the night of the cafe opening.

Simran ran to Jodie's after stabbing Jaggy in the leg and took refuge on the narrow boat for several weeks.
