What's it all about?
Life at the Akhtars has changed a lot over the last few years. Khatija and Pervaiz are in Mirpur much of the time, Zak is back at college and Nadia has packed in 'Glamour to Go' to run Jilani Fashions...she's also left home to live with Sway! The Akhtars took in Kamal when he had nowhere else to go. Then Talib moved in to keep Zak company and Fatima moved in when she and Zak got married. Now Zak's gone to join his mum and dad in Mirpur there are no Akhtar's left in the house! The current lodgers are Sean, Jas and Kamla.
With so many comings and goings the house is still as busy as ever - it's just that not everyone is there at the same time anymore.
Most likely to see there :
Khatija - She's in charge and everyone knows it Pervaiz - When he and Khatija are back from Mirpur Zak - After a stint working on the Jilani-Kavanagh building site he's doing a course in mechanical engineering
Classic moments:
- Gary and Saj breaking the window at Zak's 18th party. - Khatija throwing a vase at Sway. - The police raid with Zak and Talib being arrested

Zak nearly drowned in the sea on a visit to Cornwall
And another thing...
Pervaiz was the first person on the scene after Simran stabbed Jaggy. Jaggy made him promise to keep quiet about Simran's involvement and Pervaiz has stuck to his word...so far!
