I couldn't sleep tonight so I went downstairs to see mum. I never thought I'd say this but I think I'm missing Jas. All I wanted was a cuddle from mum but she wanted to sit with snacks and drink hot milk and eat chocolates. Why does everyone always go on about food?

I'm in real trouble today. Ba was nosing around and she found some mouldy food in my bedroom. She gave me a lecture on how she had to finish everything her mum put on her plate when she was my age and about how skinny girls are today. I told her to look at my thighs... I think Ba must be blind sometimes but she said she'd seen more meat on a chicken bone.

Today was the most embarrassing day ever, I just wanna die! Mansoor, one of Jas's student friends, is the lead in the Heer Ranjha play and he told me I was talented, but then I heard him on his phone saying that the female lead - ME - would be a looker in a few year's time WHEN SHE GOT RID OF THE PUPPY FAT! I just ran to the toilets and started throwing up and then Jas came to find me and got worried that I was being sick. I made her promise not to tell anyone about it.
