Dream City (2000)

About this work:
"Jah Wobble wrote 'Dream City' after listening to the other contributions on the Sonica site. He felt his rather 'old school' approach would complement and act as a counter-point to his fellow contributors pieces. This piece owes as much to Wagnerian Chromaticism, as it does to the more textural 'sound based ambient style'. It twists and turns unpredictably, whilst always remaining true to its Romantic traditions. The inspiration for the piece is the epic film 'Blade Runner'."

About the artist:
This maverick bass player found his musical feet with Public Image Ltd (PIL) but soon discovered his own path of musical discovery. In 1997 he started his own label 30 Hertz. From the hauntingly beautiful debut release 'Celtic Poets' to the trance dub of 'Molam Dub', Wobble continues to expand, explore and express the full scope of his musical creativity.
