  1. If you see a good picture, you may be early. An even better one may come a few seconds later.
  2. While you wait for the perfect shot, make sure your camera settings are correct.
  3. Hold the camera to your eye all the time. You cannot afford the half-second needed to get in position.
  4. In this picture, a shape was needed to fill an otherwise empty area in the sun. The policeman's silhouette, in position for just a second, was just perfect.
