BBC Introducing Launches in America!

BBC Introducing in America will launch in Tennessee on Friday 5 December with a new show airing on the first Friday of every month.
The show will champion local, upcoming independent artists from Tennessee as well as a featured artist from the UK giving up-and-coming UK acts a platform in the US. The first UK artist spotlighted will be Nectar Woode who hasa been supported by BBC Introducing since 2022 and this year performed on the Introducing Stage at Glastonbury.

Introducing in America will be hosted by 90.3FM WUTK "The Rock" at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. It will be presented by Sherleen Mwaura and Cade Beasley and each show will also feature another campus radio station starting with WRVU - Vanderbilt University. New musicians and artists in Tennessee will be able to submit their music to the College Radio Foundation's website, external to have a chance to get their track played on the show. The intention is for the collaboration to expand to more states across America in the future.
