Anna Hauge's festive cheese ball is a great party food for the holidays. It's like a cheese board and a dip mixed into one!

Ingredients:

  • 200g cream cheese

  • 200g soft goats cheese

  • 30g honey

  • 8 basil leaves sliced

  • 1 bunch chives chopped

  • 50g pine nuts

  • 50g sunflower seeds

  • 30g toasted bread crumbs

Method:

  1. Mix together cream cheese, goats cheese, honey, 1 tsp pine nuts and 1 tsp sunflower seeds in a bowl.

  2. Some cheeses are naturally drier than others, if your goats cheese is very firm either crumble it or grate. Sometimes you need a little extra cream cheese if it is very dry.

  3. Lay a sheet of cling film the length of your chopping board.

  4. Lay another sheet on top the same size but the across the width.

  5. Spoon your mixture into the centre and gather up the clingfilm at each corner so that you can twist it into a ball shape.

  6. Place in the fridge for an hour or two or overnight.

  7. Mix your seeds, chives and breadcrumbs together then place on a plate.

  8. Take the cling film off the cheese ball and place on the plate with your seeds and herbs. Encourage the mix all around the cheese ball. Be generous with the seed mix you want to completely hide the cheese.

  9. Serve with vegetable crisps, crackers, grapes and carrot sticks.
