1993: Night Trap controversy
Thanks to the CD format, Sega's latest videogame Night Trap is able to incorporate live-action video.
The game has provoked a hostile reaction from MPs like Dame Jill Knight, who claims that it encourages children "to maim, to murder and to mutilate". Professional games reviewer Angus Swan, however - who has actually played the game - reckons it's all just a bit of camp fun.
