In her screentest to become a CBBC presenter, Gaby Roslin tries her hand at reading letters and birthday cards from young viewers. She then gives a brief summary of her career so far before interviewing a member of the CBBC production team and finding out how many letters they receive each day.
Gaby Roslin didn't join CBBC as a presenter, but instead became the co-host of ITV's new Saturday morning show Motormouth in 1989. She became a household name in 1992 when she and Chris Evans teamed up as the first presenters of the Big Breakfast, a show she stayed with for four years. As referenced in the interview segment of the audition, Roslin's father is former BBC continuity announcer and radio broadcaster Clive Roslin.
