Fired week 4
Age: 17
Education: Advanced Apprenticeship in IT Services and Development
Lives: Bedfordshire
Starting the art task by taking notes for Tim, it was soon to be clear that Hannah was in danger of being eclipsed by her fellow candidates. After Tim had jokingly implied that she could be his secretary, Hannah was assigned the job of handing out flyers. However, during the actual art exhibition Hannah seemed to find her footing once again and she managed to sell some of the team's photographic art. When faced with the boardroom Lord Sugar admitted that although she had potential, she lacked 'practical application' and she became the fourth candidate to be fired.
From the outset of the task Hannah admitted she felt that she and Tim were managing themselves and that Rhys hadn’t impressed her as project manager. Her lack of faith in Rhys as a leader grew more and more apparent as communication amongst the team broke down. In the final hour of the task Hannah came up with a new sales strategy to shift the last of the cupcakes but it was too little, too late and the group went on to lose the task.
As a “designer and inventor”, Hannah was happy to take the lead in this week’s task to design a new camping product. After confidently stepping forward as project manager for the girls, Hannah quickly adapted to Lord Sugar’s team switch and worked well with the boys to produce a strong idea, although, notably, not one of her own. Nick Hewer commented that both Hannah and Tim were too quick to dismiss Arjun and Rhys’ suggestions and plough ahead regardless. However, the team had only positive comments for their project manager in the boardroom.
Never without a smile on her face, Hannah worked hard alongside her fellow teammates to help them secure their first victory over the boys.
Inventor Hannah admits to being competitive with an adaptable, flexible approach to work. Having achieved 100% in her Business AS Level, Hannah has gone on to achieve a multitude of qualifications as part of her IT Academy course.
Come back here each week for an update on Hannah's performance on Junior Apprentice.
