Retired week 3
Age: 17
Education: 8 GCSEs
Lives: London
From the very start of the day Adam said he was feeling under the weather. He was very quiet during the team’s brainstorm session and struggled to keep up with the pace in the kitchen with Emma. Despite admitting he wasn’t feeling “fully focused”, Adam’s will to win got him through the day. After making the effort to finish the challenge for his team, the 17 year old was sent home to his parents to rest and recover.
With experience in selling camping equipment, Adam seemed the natural choice as project leader for the second task. From the start the 17 year old struggled to keep the stronger personalities in his team under control and eventually agreed to a multi-functional product that pleased everyone but lacked quality and a clear purpose. It was this lack of clear leadership that had Adam back in the boardroom, but it was his passion and drive that persuaded Lord Sugar to keep him in the running.
As an experienced market trader, Adam was eager to bring his knowledge to the group when they were deciding on which market to set up their cheese stall. As the group changed their strategy and approached people on the street, Adam showed an ability to charm customers and a willingness to get stuck in.
Adam left school at 16 determined to succeed in business. He has since gone on to run his own online company selling camping and fishing equipment. He admits that he can be argumentative, but he’s not afraid of hard work.
Come back here each week for an update on Adam's performance on Junior Apprentice.
