Episode 85
Sìleas is delighted to discover that St Michael's Church is still used as a place of worship in modern times and is one of the largest churches in the borough. There has been a place of worship here since 1138 and Oliver Cromwell used the building as a stable during the Battle of Bannockburn. Her bloodlust is piqued and she wants to go there! However Marsaili is delighted to discover a carving of Mary, Queen of Scots. She soon discovers that after seven months here in Linlithgow, Mary went to Stirling Castle.
Where to now for our intrepid explorers?
Marsaili: “Caisteal no blàr? Càite an tèid sinn?” (Castle or battlefield? Where will we go?)
