Episode 83

The girls decide to research Mary Queen of Scots in the National Archives of Scotland (Scottish Records Office). However, they soon stumble upon a problem. There is very little information on Mary Queen of Scots. The archives were removed from Edinburgh in the 17th Century under the instruction of Oliver Cromwell!

Although disappointed, Marsaili believes that they can piece together information on Mary's life by starting at the Church of St Michael, where Mary was baptised. Sìleas is more concerned with the archives being moved and wants to research this more. Where should they go?

The Church of St Michael to research Mary, Queen of Scots.

Let's stay where we are and find out more about Oliver Cromwell.

Marsaili: “Tha an dà sgeulachd uabhasach inntinneach.” (Both stories are so interesting.)
