Frank Greasley found this when he was collecting materials from mansion houses in Leicestershire. On one side is a picture of Queen Victoria with the words THE QUEEN VICTORIA MEDAL SCHOOL BOARD 1887 FOR LONDON. On the other side are the words AWARDED TO with the engraving G Ellis and the words FOR PUNCTUAL ATTENDANCE EVERY TIME THE SCHOOL WAS OPENED DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR ENDED A.D.1896 AND THREE PREVIOUS YEARS. I believe that Ellis were the family of Belgrave Hall in Leicester. I do not know if this is the same family or not.
