Arrow head from Battle of Towton

An arrow head made of iron that was used in the Battle of Towton in Yorkshire, on March 29 1491 - part of the War of the Roses, a battle for the English throne between the Houses of Yorks and Lancaster. This arrow head was discovered in what turned out to be a solider's grave, meaning that it may had been the weapon that killed the him. With this in mind, the arrow head becomes a symbol of a bloody battle and of the individual sacrifices made my many.

The battle was in fact fought in 1461 , at the time it was known as the battle of Shyrborne.
