Jane Taylor is best known for writing the poem 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', famous the world over. Jane was born into a talented family of artists and authors in 1783 and lived in Shilling Street, Lavenham from 1786 to 1796. It is said that the view of the sky from her bedroom inspired the poem. Countless children everywhere have grown up singing 'Twinle Twinkle' with their parents. BBC Radio Suffolk are helping us to support our local Primary School by recording the children singing the nursery rhyme in the Guildhall for all our visitors to hear.
