Originally the urn came from a house connected with Eno's Fruit Salts in London where my great grandfather worked as a gardener. He brought it back to his home in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire, when he retired. It shows wonderful bright and colourful chinese designs which link in with my Great Uncle Charles, his son. (My Great Uncle Charles was a Royal Marine and fought in the Boxer Uprising in China and he later married a Chinese lady and became the chief Sanitary Inspector of Hong Kong.) The urn passed on to my Grandfather Joseph Frith and then my mother Doris Lapworth and now to me.
