Omega Pocket Watch from Basildon

George Cook, Steve's Grandfather, served in the British Army during World War One and was at the Battle of the Somme with the pocket watch. He was gassed once and so too was the watch! George gave the watch to his son, Harry, during the 1930s as Harry was a bus driver and need to be on time! Harry took the pocket watch to Burma and India as he served in the British Army during the Second World War. The pocket watch came to Steve in 1990 from Harry and it still keeps good time!
